cooling fan ??????

i have looked and can't seem to find out what the cfm is for the stock single fan can anyone help??? the trouble is in town my car heats up fan is on but don't seem to be moving enough air on the road it cools back down

last year i had a 305 in my ta,and it ran cooler then than it does now.. i have the same radiator, put a new fan motor on and it gets hot quick, my fan runs all the time. i now have a l98 in it with a 180 t stat but in town in stop and go traffic it runs up to 240 i can't seem to get it to cool down unless i'm at highway speed, but even then it don't get down to 180 help!!!!!!!!!

Check for debris outside the rad.
Also, where are you getting the temp from?
My gauge reads 220 when it is actually 190 water temp.

just had the rad out washed it out no debris everything is clear my gauge tells me 220 maybe i could get a mech gauge and put it on

I've found that the guages are just not that accurate. Mine reads 220, when it's actually about 200. I got a candy thermometer from the dollar store, and held it in the radiator in the stream of water coming in, and I let my car get plenty warm, and the guage read 220 when the thermometer read 200. By all means check on it, but just know that the guages aren't that accurate.
