No coolant in radiator?

Hey, I just got a 305 tpi, and I noticed that the radiator never appeared to have any coolant in it. For instance, after driving a while, the coolant all still appears to be in the resevoir, but the car isnt overheating, it stays around 220-230 in 105 degree weather. The other thing is that I changed the coolant, and it isn't leaking, so I have no idea what the problem could be. Is this normal, did I do something stupid, or are there any easy fixes? Thanks for any advice in advance.
