Overheating ! Help please !

Hey , I really need some help here ! I am at whits end ! I just completed my 92 RS conversion from a 700r -4 to a t56 , installed a new 373 rear with aubourn unit , rebuilt a .030 327 with # 461 hump heads S.S SLP headers and lots more. Well I fired her up and she overheated really quick., I found a clod or ball in the bottom of the radiator that looked like stop leak. Installed new 3 row radiator and flushed entire system, new hoses and 180 deg. thermo. the water pump is for the LO3 engine and I used the sticky on this site and did the Smog removal. It ran cool for the cam break in but is now overheating again. And now I am bending push rods on #6 Intake valve I pulled the plug and see no signs of coolant and there is none in the oil. Please help ! I have never had such bad luck ! The only thing I can think of is my heater hosees. I retained the routing to the radiator with one and the other to the water pump port is this correct? Fan is running , air dam in tact , timing set 13 deg bftdc.and two turns out on the idle mix screws 750 holly.

Should I be using a water pump for an LO3 / Or should I be using one for the older style 327. The Lo3 is not a reverse flow right ? Just a reverse rotation ? I know the first post was a little long winded but I wanted to stuff in all the info !

None of them are reverse "flow" really. Serpentine systems turn the opposite direction from v-belts, so the impeller inside the pump has reversed vanes. Your L03 was serpentine, right? Did you use v-belt pulleys on the 327?

I retained the O.E.M serpentine system.

I thought it might be the wrong water pump but @ Napa we took a new one out of the box and removed the inspection cover and compared it to mine and they are identical. Anybody have any ideas?
