Camaro Heater

Hey, I own a 84 Z28.. and the heating system doesn't seem to be working.. No heat or cold air comes out.. I also own a 87 Z28 and the heating in there works fine.. It's starting to get cold in Canada.. and my G/F is starting to freak out.. So I was just wondering which steps I would have to do to make the switch?

Start with the panel, check vacuum lines and cainster, check fuses. If those work pull the dash and replace the heater core.

If the fuse is good:

Take out the control head, and locate the brown wire that goes off and plugs into a similar wire. Attempt to unplug that connection. When you discover that it has burnt to a pile of ashes like they always do, you'll realize that you've found the problem. Cut the remains off, and replace it with a pair of BIG HEAVY-DUTY YELLOW INSULATED slide terminals. Not the ordinary little weenie ones; make sure they're the BIG HEAVY-DUTY kind.

I've had to replace that connector pair in I think I'm up to 7 cars in my immediate family, so far.
