NEED HELP, OVERHEATING!!!
alright, so i got an 89gta with the 5.7tpi in it. my problem is that after i drive it for a while it starts over heating. it usually happens when im idleing or at low speeds. when it starts to get hot and i put it in park the engine starts to bog down to about 200prms then back up to about 1500rpms and back down again over and over. my coolant tank has a crack and leaks so i am constantly putting antifreeze and water in. what should i do? the temp will jump up to about 245-250 so i will have to put it in nuetral and rev it to about 2grand for a couple min and it will go back down again for a little bit. any help would be greatly appreciated

Coolant tanks and radiators are cheap enough... replace them b/4 you really cause some serious damage. If you're not sure where to find a replacement coolant tank, try one of the 3rd gen site supporters or visit a wrecking yard.
You might want to also inspect or check for coolant leaks on the underside of your water pump.
