car not heating right?

i bought my car last summer and it kept over heating all the time so i had pretty much all the cooling system redone...i though. well since then my temperature gauge did not go up to original temp. it would stop about 150 maybe once a month it would read normal temperature. I changed the thermostat maybe thinking that it was stuck open but did not fix it. it warms up alright for the most part except it takes longer for heat to come out of the heater. any suggestions?

th eonly problem you're having is the heat is ocming out fast enough? sorry I'm having alittle trouble understanding your question. As for the heat though, you might want to look into a new blower motor, cause that might cause the heat problem. I had the same proble with my 84 SS monte, but once that new blower motor went in, it heated up like a ****...lol

What kind of fan and rad are you running? And what temp range is your thermostat rated at? You have a few options, if the car is not reaching operational temperature (between 160 and 190), then you can change ur thermostat to a higher range. If you have a thermostat controlled fan, change the switch to a higher range, or a manual switch. If the fan is on constantly, thats ur problem. But from what youve described, the heater box isnt warming up quickly??? How long is too long? Once ur car gets up to temp that problem should be solved, or like suggested above, get a new blower motor.

sorry for bot explaining thouroughly

my car does not heat up right. atleast that what the temp. gauge says. it can run normal all the time and heats up regularly. the heat in the car works fine but the temp. gauge says my car only heats up to about 140. If i drive it for a very long time like a few hours it will go up to normal operating temp. about 190. i have a 180 degree thermostat and i thought my gauge was just ****ed up so i got a new temp. sender for that but it still has the same problem hope that helps
