Need AC help
ok, the pre owner had removed the AC from my car (evap can and compressor) I latter found a AC system out of a 87 camaro. Now here's my problem, I cant seem to find the plug in my engine bay, so I was woundering, dose anyone know were the plug is in the engine bay?
also, im going to try and track down some R-22 (I think thats the right one) but if that dosent work, im going to invest in some hot shot.

Should be located on the Passenger side right next to the heater in between the shock tower and the firewall.. If the plug you are talking about is on the condenser. The plug is approx 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
You really don't need to send to a shop to recharge your A/C. R-134a which is the preferred and easiest to get is found at any Auto Dept Store, Pep Boys, Autozone, Advance, Napa etc etc. The main kit contains a charging hose and possibly a guage. Usually 3 - 4 small cans will recharge a F-Body car. I can send pics of my plug if you pm me.

I know were the plug for the canister is, but is that also were the plug for the compressor is located?

So if you want a working A/C you will need to spend some money. The A/C in almost all cases is not a DIY type of job.
