TPI Fan switch?

I have an 89 gta 5.7, I just bought the Jet gm fan switch. What side do I put this on? Each head has a sensor, But one has a green wire and the other a black one. Do I just match the wire colors? The Jet switch has a black wire.
Gonna flush the coolant soon and I want to get this thing in. Thank's for youre help!

Re: TPI Fan switch?

The pass side head is the fan switch.

The driver side is the coolant temp sensor that goes to the gauge.

Re: TPI Fan switch?

Be VERY careful when you remove the plug on the passenger side. It gets very brittle over the years and is likely to crumble when you touch it.

What temp (on/off ) fan switch did you get and are you also changing the thermostat?

Re: TPI Fan switch?

I'm not shure about the on/off temp, I'm changing the thermostat to a 180 deg.
