Hello,The other day i brought a 1987 5.7 camaro alittle F$%K up but runs good?My question is are these cars suppose to have dual or jus one fan also my coolant box looks like it came from a 4cyclnder toyota it's so dam small?PLEASE HELP

 

If it has air conditioning it should have dual fans. You can get the correct coolant recovery tank new or used from one of the many vendors that sponsor this site, junk yard or E-Bay.

Redline_racing, I am finding conflicting information about factory dual fans. Some sources tell me they started in `87 and some say `88 and some without much to say just say "wrong", not much help. So at this point I really don`t know. Maybe someone with an `87 with air will post with some useful information and a little detail, such as how hot their car runs with the air on and off and under what conditions.

Is it a RS or Z28? Original 5.7 (RS couldn't have 5.7s)? Even with AC, RSs only got single fans.

My 87 & 89 GTA both have dual fans, but that was standard.
