OK... You guys helped me remove my a/c components.
NOW im wondering if i can REUSE my AC condenser (i think im saying the right part. Its the little radiator in front of the big radiator!).

I would like to Use it as a trans cooler........ANY THOUGHTS??? do's or dont's?

I don't see why you can't but Tranny cooler kits a rather cheap and give you everything needed for the setup! I wouldn't if i were you.

 

dont think it would cause any problems seeing as its just a small radiator. i guess it would be a free alternative to buying a kit and its much larger. make sure you flush it out really good and let us know how it works... aslo its pretty big so you will probably need to add another quart of tranny fluid to it. make sure you put the intake line on the bottom that way it wont trap air.

 

1991, yes you can use it for a trans cooler. We used to use them years ago when we lived in the desert and could not afford a trans cooler. They worked well just make sure to clean it out before using it and make sure to blow it out with air before the install.

 

hey jim , you are spreading old hot rod stuff to new cars , and a new generation . ain't it great ??? i will be at CRUISN THE COAST tomorrow , lots of us old pharts , enjoying the rides . we will be having a south . ms. 3rd gen. get together , we hope to get more interest in third gens. .

 

Hey UNCLE TOM, good to hear from another old phart. At some point when my health agrees I would like to get down your way and check out your ride.
