fan into shroud quest

fan into shroud quest

how far soes the fan need to be into the shroud to cool properly? mines in just a lil bit and wondered if thatll work

Typically the fan is positioned inside the shroud with the blades width centered half inside and half outside.

does it matter if the blade isnt in half way? or will it just run hotter?

Depends on what fan blade your running. Some aftermarket fans are designed to pull alot of air. Do a simple test... Take a tissue and put it in front of your radiator. If it sticks you are probably pulling enough air to cool your motor.

im running the summit flex fan i put new puleys 3 groove to a 2 groove and i lost that extra legnth for fan

you can get a spacer to bring the fan farther into the shroud

You want to position the fan in the shroud as RazinCayne stated.If to far out you lose airflow thru the radiator/condensor(makes a noticeable difference if you have A/C.
