Radiator Interchange... Better rad?

Looking to change to a better radiator, that is if another vehicles rad will fit and is better. I have a 91 305 with single electric fan. Just realized that on my way from SC to FL that I have about a 4 inch hairline crack in the plastic on the top driver side...

Any other factory radiators better than ours?

So no one knows then? How about the 4th gen V6 or V8 cars? Or 454 trucks?

Re: Radiator Interchange... Better rad?

As a point of reference for you, I took out a 305 and put in a 385 fast burn. Almost double the HP and HP=heat. The stock, no name brand, rad has kept it cool even when it's approaching 100F out without the humidity added in, in stop and go traffic

with a 160* stat and fan turns on early. Even before the leak, in city at 90* it will get way to hot for my liking. I figure Im replaceing it anyway, and it doesnt matter what it comes out of (same price regardless). Might as well go all out...

a stock radiator will offer adequet cooling if the other components in the cooling systen are working properly. working thermo, proper water pump, hoses in good shape(spring in lower hose), fan(s), and air dam.
