air conditioning leak

I have a freon leak that leaks out a can of freon a week. it blows cold until a can leaks out, i put in another can & it again blows cold. i have oil in the back of the compressor at the bottom, but it isnt coming from the hose connections on the compressor, so it must be coming from inside the compressor, i was told that some oil spray or loss from compressor is normal.

i used that red stop leak & dye, & i checked all i could check & saw no red dye for a week but a can of freon still leaked out. even the oil on the back of the compressor had no red dye in it. i even checked where the evaporator & condensor are & still saw no red dye or oil residue.

what do u guys think?

Re: air conditioning leak

Any oil leak from the compressor is not normal. I would be looking at this area for the leak.
