Fan problem.......=/

Noticed my car was over heating i have a 1986 firebird with tpi, when to check out the relay to see if it was bad and what do you kno someone cut off the plug part of the relay and the wires were just there, went to the junk yard got the plug part wired it up and plugged it back in. Now when i turn on the car the fans turns on right when the engine is started up and will not turn off when i shut the car off and take the key out of the ignition now i dont know if it turns off over the course of and our i just no that it stayed on for atleast 10-15 mins. I have a single fan on my car and ideas to why my fan will not turn off is greatly appreciated thanks

Sounds like you got a couple wires crossed.
I don't have a wiring diagram with me either or I would be able to tell you which wire to use.
Are the wires on the plug the same as what came off the car?

Yeah i cut like 7 inches of wire off the plug part at the junkyard and just matched the wires and they were all the same color. Im thinking it possibley the CTS and maybe it sending a false signal
