good pusher fan?
What's a good pusher fan model number that will fit nicely in a stock set-up?
Today my single 16" worked just like it should. I've replaced parts along the way. but there's that trust facto, and with the summer up ahead I want to add a back-up pusher fan.

Re: good pusher fan?
Would have to be pretty thin to fit between the x-brace
and the A/C condenser-i think a thin type 12" flex-a-
lite would fit if the shroud was trimmed just a bit.
The problem with pusher fans is they are about 40
percent less effective than the exact same fan properly
mounted behind the radiator/condenser,the reason is
the air on the discharge side of a propeller fan is
rotating like a vortex and the air hits the radiator fins
at an angle, reducing airflow. if overheating is experienced when the weather gets hot,a higher power
puller fan would be better-HD fiero/buick grand nat.
type, ford taurus 2spd,or '87 up 3rd gen dual fan with
both fans wired to come on at the same time.

Re: good pusher fan?
Also, generally not advised to mount a pusher directly in front of a puller, as they will offset eachother and compound the situation. Blowing air into a fan that's already pulling air doesn't really work. If you want reassurance, just get a puller with a higher CFM rating.
