Heater core hoses
Heater core hoses
Howdy once again. I have a 1987 iroc z with a 305 tpi engine. I have just replaced the heater core. However the car use to have A/C but the compressor and everything has been taken out and the left side (from the engine view) of the heater core hose was cut off. I need to know where to run this hose and if it should just be a replacement or what. thank you for your time and information.
Re: Heater core hoses
Ok....so i hooked the left side to where there was a coolant hose on the throttle body and hooked up the right to the tube. however the tube runs to where that ac compressor sat and has 2 places to hook up things one at the end and one in the middle of the hose Where do i need to run these???? if i just loop them wont it put too much preasure on the heater core or can i? do i need to meet up with another coolant line i dont see? any help would be great thx

Re: Heater core hoses
Since your HVAC is hacked, I can't provide specifica instructions on how to hook your heater core up.
But generally, one hose will run from the heater core to the top of the intake manifold (or to the throttle body in this case). The other hose runs from the heater core to the water pump.
