Upper Radiator Hose

I have installed a pretty big small block along with a supercharger in my 1983 Z along with a Griffen universal radiator as they did not produce the exact fit radiators when I built it. I am not sure if the universal radiator is big enough which may cause some heating issues.

I have a heating problem on long trips and tried everything but replacing the universal radiator. So I purchased a new exact fit BeCool radiator and the upper hose on the radiator is 1 3/8 and my thermostat housing is 1 1/2. I have tried several different hoses and went through two parts stores with no luck for the upper hose. I can not use the hose for the throttle body years because I moved my alternator on the right side and my blower snout is out front. I was going to try and stay away from a flex hose but may have to use one if needed.

Does any one have any suggestions?

Let me know.

Thanks

Re: Upper Radiator Hose

There should be a way to look up the hose by size in the back of the hose book at the parts store.
