91 rs overheated
i got a 91 rs 305 tbi/ so today(rather cold day barley got above freezing) the car started to over heat after a 15 min drive. i didnt think much of it since it didnt go too high and i didnt let it warm up. 5 hours later i start the car up let it heat up for 10 min and drive it home. so after 15 min of driving it gets into red and lucky i just arrived home. i turn the car off and the resivor is bubbling with coolant. i wanted for car to cool down checked radiator and it was full theresivor was too. so could this be the thermostat or somthing bigger?

Re: 91 rs overheated
Off the top of my head....bad thermostat, bad water pump, plugged radiator or your fan isn't kicking on. Check your fuses/relay for the fan and make sure it's turning on then go from there. Water pumps usually let go with no warning.

i would make sure there is enough coolant. in a climate that cold it is not circulating coolant. also look at the thermostat. heck man replace it there cheap.
