Where could I get a new radiator?
For my 1987 Trans Am. Mine has just started leaking, and around here we have almost NO radiator repair shops. Where could I find a good priced new/used radiator in good shape?
Thanks guys.

Well if you were on the opposite coast, I have an aftermarket one I could give you that there's no problems (other than a few folded fins) with, I just replaced it with an original copper one...

If you can find an original plastic tank used radiator, chances are it'll be on it's way out. Might as well buy a new one. A new exact replacement radiator with plastic tanks from Northern runs about $100.

I've never needed to buy a radiator or anything like that, so this was pretty new to me. I guess I learn something new every day. Thanks! Supreme Member

Now might be a good time to replace a couple other pieces of the cooling system as well. It's a pain to drain everything out the first time, don't want to do it again any time soon. Take a look and make sure your hoses, clamps, and water pump are all in good order. Spending the extra couple bucks now while you've got the system open beats having to do the whole process all over again.

LMAO just read your profile description...the kind that goes "Kachunk" in first. I just happened across this topic and I have had to replace my fan motor recently...so we decided while I was overheating and we knew that was the problem to do a flush and fill...ran the hose through the whole system for and hour til it was clear and then after I run her up...all the water is rusted again so I think its time to replace the radiator on my end also...just got the car and my stepfather owned it 17 of the 18 years she has been around. The original owner was so kind as to run her for 36k miles in her first year alone but thats ok...there is a special spot in hell for people who do that to camaros.
So anyway i thought i would just tell you all about my little coolant issue I had and I have quite and undertaking on my hands now that i am heavily researching. I intend on building up my 305 and turning my TB injectors from the dollar store squirt gun we all had as a kid, into the super soaker the kids on the hill had. I am aware of 305's reaching potentials fully built of around 400 HP. Seeing as this is a coolant strand tho i shall save that for another page.
