flexible steel Radiator hoses
I've been thinking of ways to dress up my engine compartment, and I thought about one of those metal radiator hoses.
What's the pro/cons of them and what's a good brand to look for in them?

Re: flexible steel Radiator hoses
you mean those corrugated stainless ones? I dont like them, i just dont like the way they attach. seen a couple blow off, and the one i bought looked bad after i installed it, so i chucked it in the scrap pile.
I ended up converting over to -20an lines for the upperhose. Looks much better, matches everything else. Expensive though.

Re: flexible steel Radiator hoses
Avoid hoses with internal corrigation. They cause turbulation and restrict flow.
I've had cars come in with the 'add on' stuff. You install it over your stock hoses - just a dress-up kit. They look ok if you get them just right but are a pain to get at the clamps with and the clamp covers make the hose ends look huge.
Can't suggest anything kit-wise but colored silicon hoses look nice and last well.
