Fan Shrouds
Fan Shrouds
i put a mechanical fan in my car because i got sick of the electrical ones not working properly and things like that, my car is a 89 and i was wondering if any one knows how to make one or if you can buy a fan shroud to fit a 17.5" fan also wondering if any one has any pics of the air dam under the car because my car doesn't have one and i was just wondering what to look for, and if you have any other tricks to keep it cool at low speeds would be great, thanks alot

Re: Fan Shrouds
the stock shrouds from most '82-85 v8 firebirds use a
17.5 fan,same years camaro uses 18.5" fan.
might have to use different upper radiator hose.
don't forget '88 -up is reverse rotation W/P

Re: Fan Shrouds
On standard rotation water pumps, the hub is meant to
rotate clockwise from the front-if car still has original
serpentine belt setup it will have reverse rotation W/P
on original GM pumps the hub dolt pattern is different
so the different style pulleys will not bolt onto a wrong
rotation W/P without modification
