Do I have a stock radiator or aluminum core replacement?
Can you tell by looking at the outside somehow if its the original or say an aluminum replacement from like Autozone? It's an 85 TA and was stock 305 TPI. Thanks!

Stock rads were painted black. Aluminum stock replacements are unpainted, with black plastic tanks. The high perf aluminum ones are all-aluminum with no paint.

I don't think there ever was a factory all aluminum rad, they were all aluminum cores wikth clamped on plastic tanks (if you bend over all the ( shaped hooks you can take the tanks off and put them back on and squeeze the hooks w/ some pliers)
