Pusher Fan for my AC Condencer.
Hi, i want to ask u guys were can i find a good pusher fan that would be good to mount infront of my ac condencer so it can push the hot air through the radiator so the original puller fan can pull it out. While in the highway with the ac on my car used to stay around 200-220 id say normal temp, but i was missing the air dam now i manage to get one from the junkyard and it will now stay between 180 and 200 at highway speeds even if its 90 outside like always here in miami, problem is as soon as i go into traffic temps will reach wellover 240 and even have gone till 260 according to the original gauge, anyways im forced to turn the ac off so the car can cool down, it is an issued considering how damn hot is outside. What i wanna do is hook up a pusher fan infront of the ac condencer that will turn on with the other fan so it can keep hot air out of the condencer thus not heating up my radiator and making the temps go up, the original single fan just cant do it alone.
The reason im asking is cuz while at the junkyard i saw an 82-85 v6 bird that had a small pusher fan infront of the ac condencer, is that original or a mod ? Now if i do this can i just hook the pusher fan with the original fan? Or will it mess up a fuse or something cuz of the extra load. Another thing i could do is hook it up to an aftermarket switch that turns on automatically when car reaches certain temp.

can i just hook the pusher fan with the original fan?
Wire a relay so the relay energizes as soon as the AC is on.
That way you will increase the performance of the AC.

Don’t do that.

If We Add One More Fan This Thing Is Going To Take Off !
I want my condencer fan to kick on as soon as my AC is on
Connect one wire of the relay coil to the AC cycling switch (the light green wire) (the switch is on the accumulator).
Connect the other of the relay coil to ground.
Connect one power terminal of the relay to the battery thru a 25 amp fuse.
Connect the other power terminal of the relay to the pusher fan 12 volt input.
Connect the other pusher fan wire to ground.

will i be better off using a temp switch or will that cause the fan to keep running even when i shutoff the car until the temp goes down?
If you need to, then connect a temperature switch to the coil of the new relay to keep it energized until cool down.
You’ll have to add a diode between the temperature switch and the relay to prevent interaction.
