do i need the cooling fan for this?

Engine: 350
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.23 limited slip
do i need the cooling fan for this?

my fan switch is rounded off on the block so i was gonna have the shop across the street replace the switch for me. will the engine be ok for a couple of minutes to just drive down there without the fan working?
