Removing air dam!

Does anybody try to remove air dam on Firebird and make a hole in bumper for radiator cooling?

I'm seek of scratching everything with air dam, so I want to remove it

Many over heating issues involve missing/removed air dams. I'd keep it in place unless you can fab something that will effectively replace it--and still look cosmetically pleasing.

Dragging the dam occasionally is simply a part of owning these cars.

Even the camaros with the through the grill vents use the air dam. Don't booger up your bumper.

You may also want to replace your saggy springs to keep it from dragging.

Yup, the 83 Z28 was always "hot" till we bought an air dam and put it on. It forces air upwards in front of the radiator so it can flow though the radiator. Removing the air dam reduces the air flow through the radiator.

There's bumper structure on front of the rad, and you can't cut that away.

Heck, I had a 1980 malibu that would get hot at speed, it was because the air dam was gone. And it had a vvery good sized grill.
