91 RS V6 bad problems
91 RS V6 bad problems
I know it says to read the stupid thing, but I've been going over those darned instructions for about a week now on this stupid thing.
When I bought the car, there was a valve on the upper radiator hose that snapped clean off. We replaced it. I saw another thread with another person who had the same issue. IDK Maybe brittle plastic
But ANYWAY....
it caused some pretty severe pockets and overheating in my radiator. Did a flush. Got everything hooked up right.
Ran fine until the car had a minor accident that damaged the radiator fan.
This then, boiled my coolant out.
Now, I have no pressure in any of my lines, I've tried getting someone to look at it for me to replace them.
I'm a girl. I love my car, but I can't fix half of it on my own. I don't know where to start, and I definitely don't know where to go from here.
The only thing I was told was there were leaks in the engine (believable I leave oil when I back out of my spot), transmission (well, that was leaking a while ago and it got kinda fixed), and cooling system. However, no one has been able to locate the leak in the cooling system. Not even the freaking mechanic that I only took it to because I can't figure the darned thing out.
He said that there were no wet spots on the engine block, nothing seemed to be pooling, and the hoses definitely had no pressure. He checked the oil to make sure - and sure enough nothing but oil was in there.
HELP
I don't want to end up with a Honda, and I'd really like to be able to figure out where the source of the lack of pressure could be
Really:
I've:
-replaced thermostat
-checked all hoses
-flushed radiator
-checked radiator for leaks
-checked engine block for leaks
-checked intakes for leaks
It only seems to do this when the weather gets below 50. And living in the northwest doesn't quite help that process.
and it's still acting funny.
please help me.

Can you post a pic of the plastic valve on the upper hose? Can't think of what that is. I don't have one. Do you lose coolant? Use oil?
