And keep the heater? It doesn't look as easy as most cars.

I have a molded steel hose going from the intake manifold to the throttle body that seems to route through the throttle body, and come out the other side via another molded steel hose, and then run over to the heater diverter valve. It looks similar to most TB warming setups, with the exception of being molded steel and being routed through some precise areas.

I want to delete the TB setup because it recently sprung a pinhole leak on one of the steel lines, but I want to keep the heater so the defroster is working on cold mornings. It is currently temp fixed with a glob of JB weld.

Using a regular heater hose and snaking it through the current path looks... not practical. I tried a mock run and it seems like it would probably collapse a lot when hot and need FREQUENT checking and changing (probably why it's steel from the factory). Adding another frequent failure point, though easier to replace, is not my idea of fixing it.

Anyone ever deleted this thing before? I need some ideas. I can post pic's if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Easy fix, I took the molded metal out got a1/2" pipe adapter, got some heater hose, connected the hose to the adapter, ran it to the black heater valve, clamped both sides down. No collapse, no leaks.
wanna get really trick get a threaded A/N adapter, then an A/N 90° elbow, get some stainless steel hose, an get and modify it to fit the heater valve, connect the hose.
You can take the little plate off or get some hose and a funnel, and create a ram-air type cooling for the t throttle body. I just took my plate off.
If you want to keep the cooler, I still have mine. ( unless I threw it at my wife lol, naw I still got it)

So the molded hose screws into a common thread size into the manifold, and I can grab a common pipe adapter to replace it, in order to use a rubber length of heater hose. Good to know, I have been doing a lot of little stuff and want to get this squared away before I start driving it around again.
