A/C High pressure switch

One of the prongs on my high pressure switch located on the back of the A/C compressor is broken, My question is would I be able to replace the switch without losing freeon? The new switch came with o-rings and I wasn't for sure if I removed it wheather or not I'd lose my a/c charge...Thanks!

You have to evacuate before you can change the switch.

Re: A/C High pressure switch

side note: all other switches on a/c system can be removed and replaced without evacuating the system. high pressure switch is the only one that requires evacuation to replace.
