Stewart Warner Temp Gauge with Factory Sender?

Hey guys,

I am installing a Stewart Warner #82307 temp gauge in my Firebird. Can I use the stock sending unit, or do I need to use one from SW? I have one from SW, but the threads are about half the size of the factory one. Does SW make the correct sending unit for our cars, or is there an adapter I can get? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Joe

The sender has to match the gauge. Use a pipe bushing.
