Thermostat

Hi,

Went to order a thermostat for my 1982 Firebird 2.8 V6. I see there are two types a 180 Degree and 195 Degree. Which one of these is what was originally used. Why are they two types.

stock is 195*-most cars since the late '60s have used
195*,either one will be ok-15*difference won't really
matter anyway.
