coolant spewing

i have an 84 lg4 with a non cc rochester (it was converted to non cc).recently the car has startedspewing out coolant out of the cap of the overflow tank when after its been running a while obviously. the radiator is new hoses are good and i just flushed everything recently. im hoping i can just get a new cap for the overflow tank, but besides the fact that it doesnt look like anythings wrong with it..i feel like the overflow shouldnt be getting filled that high..but idk..anyone got any ideas of whats goin on? im gettin the car ready to sell tomorrow and hope i can get the issue resolved by then..oh i forgot to mention the car is not overheating..well its staying at or below 220 if my gage is correct.
