BWD TFS1 fan switch specs
BWD TFS1 fan switch specs
Can anyone confirm? O'Reilley cross referenced this from the GP Sorensen FS1 referenced here:

I'd like to know for sure that it has the same on/off specs, or at least close. I'm looking for something relatively high temp (like 220) to run the second fan.

Re: BWD TFS1 fan switch specs
Might as well keep the stock fan switch if you want it to come on at 220°. The stock fan switch turns the fan on at 235°. That link is partially wrong. Single fan cars don't use fan switches. They're controlled by the ECM.
Re: BWD TFS1 fan switch specs
I'm doing a retrofit, there's no stock switch. I just want something with 3/8"x18 threads and a convenient connector type. I have the BWD in hand, but I got nervous that it might not be right temp wise.

Might be better off with TFS4 - closing temp is 211* F.
Re: BWD TFS1 fan switch specs
Okay, thanks. Now I know that the BWD matches the GP Sorensen list I was looking at. Hmm, yeah 238 seems kind of high, but I guess if it was good enough for the factory it should be okay for me. My main concern is to have it well above the temp range fan #1 is working at, which is currently to come on at 203. I'm running the first fan with ECM, second with switch.
