My car came with AC but I put in a ac delete box, but the resistor is differnt. Can I use my stock one or do I HAVE to use the "right one". Lol

Re: ac delete box resistor

Yes if you use the stock one and high speed blower relay with the original wiring you will have the stock fan settings,. Non ac cars don't have the high speed setting

I just got done doing the box swap myself! If you use the non-AC resistor, you'll only have 2 fan speeds...slow and fast. I cut the hole in the non-ac box using the hole in my AC box I removed as a template...then I installed the AC resistor. My fan still has the 3 speeds like normal...just no AC!!

-But - if you want to use the non-AC resistor, you can. But you need to splice in the different plug that comes with it, and again..only 2 fan speeds.

Re: ac delete box resistor

So I'm better off leaving it with the stock stuff, the stock stuff for the ac right. I only turn it up real high or off lol. I have the ac relay and resistor in the ac DB so I will have 3 speeds.

I kept the stock stuff....didn't want to hack into the wiring.
