leaking coolant ,now in correct forum
I have coolant leaking out between the Weiand intake and the head on my aluminum( Proform) heads. The leak is at the leading edge on the drivers side .Also the car is now almost immediately overheating. The leak began a couple weeks ago when we had the really cold weather. The coolant is good for -10 and it was inside the whole time except 100 yds from shed to shop. Oil still clear and never got above 240. Could the thermostat cause this(It is a new NAPA gold thermostat) Thanks

Replace the intake gasket. You said it's leaking between the head and the manifold, that's the intake gasket. I find it odd the car is "immediately overheating", that's somewhat alarming, but if the leak is bad enough the cooling system cant pressurize and it will boil at 212 or whatever. That's why radiators have the sealed caps. I'd replace that gasket and see if you see anything else while you're in there.

Thanks for the thought but I pulled off the top hose and forced pressure both directions and I believe I had an air lock is why it overheated almost immediately. Whatever it was, it is fine now . I did add K-seal for the leak and it stopped leaking.
