Temp activated fan switch (Pic Inside)

The question has come up a few times lately so I made this. This will create an auto on 210F fan circuit. Swap out SW555 for a different on temp. Factory for my 1984 TA 5.0 is SW500.

Let me know if I missed something.

Code:
SW500	1 3/8 x 18	Open	Makes 230f ± 8
SW501	1 3/8 x 18	Open	Makes 222-239 f
SW502	1 3/8 x 18	Open	Makes 238f ± 8
SW505	1 3/8 x 18	Open	Makes 221f ± 8
SW555	1 3/8 x 18	Open	Makes 210f Breaks 205f

always better to put the thermal sensor in the back of the head because coolant circulation is slower back there so it will be the hottest spot on a engine. By putting it in your location rear temps could be hotter then 210.

Good call, it may be better to put it on the passenger side where it would be farther back. Although I did not find a good picture so show that location when making this.

Although on my car I have a mechanical temp gauge there and it reads 210 when my fan comes on same as my IR gun.

aside from that, it should operate just like a gm thermal fan. Me personally though I would got with 228 on 204 of if it is a efi car. 228 is no big deal for a smog car. Hell my 97 z28 fans dont come on till 3/4 of the way up the gauge

Yea that is why I added the sensor list. All these will interchange with the SW555 shown
