88 camaro bad head gasket????
88 camaro bad head gasket????
hi I just bought a 88 Camaro. it had a 305 with a bad headgasket so we swapped a 350 from a 94 chevy van. its the tbi. long story short it kept stalling out on me so we finished the timing and it was fine on the way home. yesterday I went to drive it and she stalled around a corner. it fired right back up. THIS HAS THE 700R4 AUTOMATIC TRANNY IN IT SO IT SHOULODNT BE STALLING OUT. well anyways I drive it to my buddy's house to organize the wiring harness and to make it look nice. I told him that it stalled out and he opened up the radiator cap and it was full. so we let it run and it spit a lot of antifreeze out of the radiator. this is normal, but it constantly does this. and it was overfilled he said and it started smoking a lot of white smoke from the exhaust. it did it for like a minute then it stopped smoking and I still have antifreeze in the radiator. so my question is could this be the head gasket? or could I have overfilled it and when we went to get the air out somehow it dumped through the exhaust?
