Quick question????
With the factory set-up on a 1986 Trans-am....the electric fan automatically comes on with the A/C. Does it turn off when driving above 30 mph and kick back on when under 30 mph??

Re: Quick question????
That's a good question, but I doubt it since the normal fan operation won't turn off over 30mph, it's all based on engine temp. ONce the temp gets below the fan switch temp, the fan turns off/stays off.
The AC circuit turns on the fan when the AC is on, so I would say it's running constant, even at freeway speeds as long as the AC is turned on.

Re: Quick question????
Thanks Ozz1967. For some reason I was thinking 30 mph something??? Maybe I read somewhere when driving less than 30, the air dam doesn't create enough air flow so the fan is needed for cooling and driving 30+ with a proper working air dam there is enough airflow and the fan is not needed? I guess I'll have some testing to do on the freeway with my a/c on.....I already now what happens in stop and go driving with/without ac with the electric fan off
...lol.
