Auto Start Fan

So when I turn the car on, the fans come on automatically, is there a way to stop this?

I like listening to music in my car. and when the fan is on while im trying to sit and listen it drains the battery quite quickly.

I have an 88 305 Iroc.

Re: Auto Start Fan

People rig fans to run for a number of reasons if the stock system isn't working right. Grounding wires at the fan relays is easiest but I've seen really Mickey Mouse hack jobs connecting to the fuse box. Check out the fan articles in the electrical section here in the how-tos ( lots of good stuff here ) for a better understanding of how the stock system is set up and it should help you find the problem and hopefully a good solution. Here ya go, have fun

Re: Auto Start Fan

Didn't come that way from the factory.

Somebody has "improved" .... uhhhhhh, ... ,, ..... put a hack job on it ... somewhere.

None of us out here can inspect your car any better than you can, and tell you what they did to it. Unfortunately all you can do is dig until you find it.
