Who has put a 4th gen condenser in a third gen?
I'm not happy with the factory cooling with R134 so I'm looking into a few things. 1. I'm changing orifice tubes to either a blue one or a variable orifice tube.
2. And maybe put a 4th gen condenser in. What all is involved in that? I can't find any info on this except people saying it's a good idea to do it.

I used this as an R12 replacement, and was very happy with the results.

My car has full 4th gen A/c system. The condenser does fit.

Works awesome. I get a lot more air volume out of the vents over the 3rd gen blower setup. My car Is a vert that had horrible seals and it would still cool the car well in 90* days. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow. I dont have any on the work computer.

Did you use just the 4th gen blower or did you switch over the box the fan goes in and the blower ?
I appreciate the replys and definitely will appreciate the pics. Can't find much online about that swap so it will be nice to be able to see it

Just out of curiosity. How difficult is it to swap those dashes and have everything work?

I have been asked that a lot. Its not too bad but you have to be committed to making it work. You have to do a lot of cutting.

Sorry to keep bothering you but do you have full vent fuctions? Since the blower isn't in the engine bay I'm assuming in later camaros they put it inside?

I'm really wanting to do this swap but I'm wanting to figure everything out before I start so I can have everything ready. So the blower is inside or out?
You cut the firewall to fit the 4th gen stuff so you should have all vent fuctions ?

Yes the blower is under the dash. Only thing sticking out under the hood is the Evap.

Re: Who has put a 4th gen condenser in a third gen?
I know it's been awhile but I finally found a dash. I had no idea it would take so long just to find one that didn't have the air bag deployed. But anyway I got everything that was dash related including the metal ring that you're evaporater bolts to. I'm taking my dash out of the car as I type this. Any tips or comments on getting the duck work installed? And that medal ring in the right place. I know I can stick it up there then put the dash in and go back and forth with it I'm just trying to not have to move that dash anymore then I have to. Don't want to take a chance of cracking it. Thanks in advanced

How did you remove the passenger air bag? It looks like you have to take the cover off
