Low pressure switch wires?

Hey guys...trying to get my a/c working and found that the blue wire at the low pressure switch connector is cut. I know the green wire leads to the HVAC control panel, but not sure what the blue one is? Is it simply a ground?

Re: Low pressure switch wires?

The car is a 1987 Vin H if that helps. Hoping someone knows what the blue wire is. Only 2 wires at the connector. Green that goes to the HVAC control in the cabin and the blue that leads to nowhere at the moment

The blue wire goes from the Low Pressure Switch to the High Pressure Switch which is mounted on the compressor.
