Cooling a very lowered show car resto mod
Building a show car resto mod and going to be installing air bags to drop the car as low as possible for shows. Early stages of build right now.
Would be nice to cruise with the car sort of low. Could the air dam be deleted if the front license plate area was deleted?
Think that is enough front facing surface area? Ducts made to direct air into rad.
Have LS swap Griffin rad. Will be running new connect and cruise LS3. Bone stock.

Without seeing everything you are talking about Ill just start talking in generalities. Without an air dam, your problem wouldn't be when you were dropped and putting around at a cruise since you wont be moving fast enough to make the air dam do its job. Your fan will be doing the heavy lifting in that scenario. Virtually every overheating air dam related problem manifests itself at highway speeds under prolonged loads.
Maybe you could have the best of both worlds and have a retractable dam (or extendable at speeds) that is hinged up for the slam. Just thinking out loud.

Never thought of the hinged idea. Cool idea.
The car is currently on a rottissery. This is all down field maybe a year or two. Just trying to render concepts to continue to refine the look and function.
I do have the radiator and fan from Griffin that set me back $800 (I think). Seems like a very nice unit so I trust their cooling claims. Fans are shrouded.
I may just cut the center out of the black insert first and me it full "hoop". See how it looks on the nose in my basement.
