Unused Connection near Radiator

1991 Firebird Formula 350 TPI
The electrical "blade" showing in the light blue circle is located on the passenger side of the radiator, below the radiator cap. It looks like it's missing a connector but nothing is hanging loose, and everything cooling (and dash gauges) is working just fine. Can anyone tell me the purpose of this?
