1987 Firebird 5.7 TPI Dual Fan Wiring Harness Picture
I'm looking for help on identifying what the appropriate dual fan wiring harness is for my 1987 Firebird 5.7 TPI. The previous owner cut out the stock one and directly wired them to a toggle switch on the dash (ish). I'd like to get it back to "original". I can find a lot of 88-89 dual fan wiring harnesses, but it appears like the 87 may be different? It appears like the 87 dual fan harness might have relays on it. Can anyone send me a pic of what the stock wiring harness looks like or advice on what will/not work?

All the factory harnesses have relays to run the fans. They are located on pass side beside the radiator and behind the headlight, in the engine compartment. Kind of hiding infront of airbox and charcoal canister.

My 1972 Buick Gs had no relays for headlights or any other hardware. Even the ragtops had no relays for opening nor closing the top.
That is why, over time, that the switches failed & fuse links fried.

Thanks for the reply. I took pictures of what I believe is the relay you mentioned as well as the connector for the wiring harness. Can you confirm these pics are in fact the relay for the dual fans and the connector for the wiring harness? Other than the connectors that plug into each fan, is this the only other plug in on the harness? Relay? Dual fan harness connector (side) Dual fan harness connector (top)

Thats it!
The relay for the second fan is usually located by the firewall on the drivers side next to al lthe other relays..... the wires in the relay connecter like to get corroded from the grease or whatever was put in at the factory.
