South Louisiana AC Performance help.

Hello, all. Hoping to get some help getting my AC/cooling under control in this brutal South Louisiana heat.
First, it's a 1990 350 TPI, completely stock except for a self tune connecting the fan 2 output of ecm to the secondary fan and temp adjusted to bring the primary on/off at 205/200 and secondary on/off at 210/205. Fresh coolant system flush with 50/50 mix and a bottle of water wetter. In 98 degree heat i can keep the temp at about 215 max in stop and go traffic and that is verified by gauge and moates adlu interface. That's with ac off though.
Ac on, temps are really pretty bearable. Ice cold on freeway, and not to bad in "normal" street traffic mid day. But, heavy congested stop and go traffic and the temps creep to 235 before turning AC off. At which point, the temp goes back down at a nice pace. But AC performance it reduced down to the equivalent of just being on vent at anything above the 220 mark.
I am torn between replacing the stock dual fans with either of the following:
Dual Spals or Dude Derales.
Any and all help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: South Louisiana AC Performance help.

Personally I would wire both fans in parallel. Meaning when one goes on the other goes on. Also, the LS fans have similar motors but are capable of pulling good air due to the shroud. I went with the LS fans, wiring in parallel and so far have been very cool!

I appreciate the reply. Both fans automatically come on when the Ac comes on, so parallel wiring of fans wouldn't help in this situation. That is why I was wanting to do the fan upgrade. I might go with LS fans as they keep coming up in my search. Just looking for the "for sure" fix from someone in a similar environment as me.
Thanks again.
