swap from 2.8 to 5.7, why does my ALDL conector not work??

swap from 2.8 to 5.7, why does my ALDL conector not work??

Are the pins going into the ecm different or something, everything elce in the cockpit works fine, I don't get it, it worked before the swap. Please help.

I don't know what harness you are using but on the old aldl they used to put the data lines on E and the new ones are on M.

well the engine harness is out of a 90 305 tbi and the dash harness is original to my car, an 89 v6, everything elce works, the light works, matter of fact it comes on every first mile of driveing because no VSS is hooked up. The only thing in the car that is sort of vital that dont work, well besides the speedo the wipers and the heat is the ALDL and I wanted to hook that up to winALDL. Any sugestions at all?
