Quick DFI question

Just wondering what does the ACCEL DFI gen VI NOT control. On the LT1, you need to piggyback the stock PCM to keep the factory gauges. Does the stock TPI ECM control the gauges in any way or will they still work with the DFI?

For the most part, everything will function with the DFI 6.0 box just as it would with your factory ECU. You don’t have to worry about your gauges not working if you switch to DFI 6.0. The only time you’d have to go with a piggyback setup is if you wanted to retain your emissions system. Also maybe if you’re running the 700R4. The factory ECU does a smoother job of operating the lock-up function for the 700R4, but even that I don’t think you would notice much. I run the DFI 6.0 straight from the adapter harness, not piggybacked. Everything works fine, with the exception of the emissions controls.
