What can cause false knock...
Well I finally got a chip made for my car with the proper fuel constants. Before I was running way to much fuel, and still receiving 47 counts. Well with the new chip in, and 87 octane fuel, the counts reached 72 one time.
I know that I am picking up false knock, but I just wanted some more things to check. I know that I have been running rich for a while, and that could cause build-up and hot spots. Also, the exhaust taps the bottom of the subframe connector crossover.
What are some others, I would like to check everything if possible.
The chip is the stock bin with the proper fuel settings. I haven't even changed the primary fan temp, that is how stock it is.
TIA

I had a false knock when I put my car back together. It was because of the exhaust hit the frame constantly. It pulled up to 20 deg of timing out and cost me 50+ hp. Try using a higher grade of gas. You might have to much timing programed into the chip. Just giving you some food for thought
