Are all TBI ecm's the same...as far as thirdgens go?

Installed a new dash in my 84 SC last week. Now my car won't start. Tried replacing the ecm with my 83 Z unit. My 83 is a CFI car....will it work in the 84?

Thanks,
Brandon

I don't know the answer, but you might ask here Crossfire Injection Forum - they know quite a bit about cfi ecms, and I think there are a few members in Houston.

Do you still have the crossfire intake, etc on the parts car?

Actually, it was a CFI car. It's running a 78 or 79 305 with a Edel carb/intake.
