Is there any DIY or inexpensive editor/programmer for the 16229684 PCM?

Sorry, I have no info on that PCM. What vehicle (model/Year)?

Also, I will transfer this to RBob as he handles the ECMs.

97 GMC Yukon 5.7L gasoline engine...I'd guess it's the same for every full sized gas truck from 97 to whenever they switched to the new Vortec engines.

As far as I know there is no easy or cheap way to reprogram them. They are OBDII, they are basicly the same from 1996 to 2000 after that it is the same as the LS1 pcm. I have a 1996 C/k pcm.

You can send it to several different people i think speartech sp? and a couple other tunners

There are a couple pluging modules the hypertech and the such.

The only other options are to wait, or desolder the chip hack it and resolder and go(ha, ha if it were just that easy)

there is a bunch of people trying to hack the OBDII gm pcms at

pcm.dxsoftware.com/

they have made some progress, i think a couple of them prowel this board.

Good Luck
