lower ve and kpa
HELLO I READ THE INFO ON HOW TO TUNE LOWER VE I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS AND A STRANGE PROBLEM .PROBLEM IS WHEN I AM USING ALDL MONITOR RT THE KPA ARE ACTING OPPOSITE TO WHAT THE THREADS SAY WHEN AT 700 RPM IM READING 76 - 80KPA AND AT 11OO RPM 60 KPA AND AT1500RPM 54KPA I REMOVED THE EGR AND SEALED AND PUT A PLATE OVER IT.I ALSO PURCHASED A NEW MAP, NO CHANGE.AM RUNNING AN EXTREAM ENERGY 268 CAM EDELBROCK HEADS ,HEADERS.I TRIED TO CHANGE LOWER VE AND BLM JUST STAYS AT 108.. MULTIPLIED WHOLE TABLE BY .844 NO CHANGE EVEN TRIED TO PLOT ACCORDING TO MY DATA FROM RT MON STILL 108?THE IDLE SCREW IS ALL THE WAY OUT TO GET IT TO STAY RUNNING EVEN IN CLOSED LOOP.I ALSO CHANGED THE COOLANT TO RPM ABOUT 150 RPM .

Can you un-caps lock before posting? Thanks.
The KPa (MAP load term) will change depending upon how much load the engine is under. If free reving in neutral then the MAP will drop as the RPM goes up.
If in gear and moving the vehicle the MAP will rise as the load is higher.
So collect some data at various points in the VE table and adjust accordingly. Collect again and adjust.
